Hot off the heels from their single with Krewella “Rewind”, the duo now release “Hush.” This song was made together with emerging Indonesian group Weird Genius. The musical trio, along with Yellow Claw, team up with Reikko, the vocalist who adds weight to this track.
Yellow Claw are the Dutch EDM legends everyone remembers, from tracks like “Reckless” to hits like “Shotgun” with Rochelle. At the end of July, they released their collab with Weird Genius to give this soft yet emotional song.
“Hush” revolves around the feelings during a toxic relationship and puts you in the feels. This track brings out the best in Yellow Claw’s ability to create tracks spanning multiple genres. Weird Genius’ expertise in this area is also a key factor in the production of this song.
The collaboration is a meeting of East and West. Now, with half of Yellow Claw based in Bali, it should come as no surprise to see the Dutch duo finally collaborating with some of the finest talent Indonesia has to offer. Weird Genius comes to the party off the back of their biggest release to date, the record-breaking single “Lathi” which has accumulated over 150 million streams worldwide and held the #1 place on Spotify for over 6 weeks in Indonesia. In addition, the track charted at #1 on YouTube and Joox, while hitting #2 on the Global Spotify Viral Charts.
