2024 is near its end, and it has been an amazing year of new music! The team of editors and writers here at EDMTunes have reviewed this year’s album releases across our favorite electronic music genres and have voted for the top albums of 2024, kicking off our EDMTunes “Year in Tunes” series, here are the top 10 albums! 10. Gorgon City – Reverie

The English electronic duo Gorgon City, consisting of Kye “Foamo” Gibbon and Matt “RackNRuin” Robson-Scott Following the success of their previous album, Salvation (2023), Gorgon City continues to evolve their sound, released their fifth studio album, Reverie, on July 19, 2024, via REALM Records and Astralwerks, marks a return to their club roots, delivering infectious house beats and soulful melodies that captivate listeners.

French electronic music duo Justice’s latest album, Hyperdrama, showcases their signature sound with a fresh, theatrical twist, featuring bold synths and intricate production that push the boundaries of electronic music. 8. Fred Again – Ten Days

Fred Again‘s Ten Days offers a deeply personal narrative, with each track inspired by significant moments in his life, blending ambient soundscapes with dynamic beats. This project follows his acclaimed Actual Life series and features collaborations with artists like Anderson .Paak and Skrillex.

Rezz‘s album ‘Can You See Me?’ delves deeper into her unique style, featuring pulsating basslines and eerie melodies that create an immersive listening experience. Following her 2022 album Spiral this release continues to showcase her growth as an artist.

Anyma, the solo project of Matteo Milleri from the Italian duo Tale of Us, explores the intersection of technology and music. ‘Genesys II’ is a testament to this vision, blending ethereal sound design with techno rhythms to create a transcendent auditory journey. Earlier this year Anyma announced the end of Genesys via his official Instagram account which is set to culminate on 12/31/2024.

American techno DJ and producer Sara Landry is known for her high-energy sets and innovative productions. Her album Spiritual Drivebyis a powerful collection of tracks that showcase her signature hard-hitting techno beats and experimental soundscapes. This debut album marks a significant milestone in her career. Sara Landry is set to perform at Electric Forest in 2025, bringing her dynamic live show to a broader audience.

Sultan + Shepard‘s album Endless, Dawn is a testament to their ability to craft emotive melodies and lush harmonies, offering a serene listening experience. Following their 2021 album Something, Everything this release continues to showcase their evolution as artists.

American DJ and producer Lane 8, born Daniel Goldstein, is celebrated for his deep, melodic house tracks. Following his 2020 album Brightest Lights, this release continues to solidify his reputation in the electronic music scene. Chicago-based DJ and producer John Summit has quickly risen to prominence with his infectious house tracks. His debut album Comfort In Chaos blends high-energy club anthems with introspective themes, showcasing his versatility as an artist. Rufus Du Sol continues a trend. Every time the group releases a new album, it ends up being our #1 album of the year. This was the case with Surrender in 2021 and Solace in 2018. Once again Rufus du Sol has made the #1 spot! The Australian alternative dance trio comprising Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George, and James Hunt, have solidified their status as electronic music luminaries with their fifth studio album, Inhale / Exhale, released on October 11, 2024.

In support of the album, Rufus Du Sol has announced a 2025 North and South American tour promising an unforgettable live experience that complements the album’s emotive depth.
