Adam Beyer and Mark Reeve have reunited in the studio to deliver their latest project, a four-track EP titled Do Our Thing, released via the iconic Drumcode imprint. This collaboration marks their third official joint effort, further cementing a creative partnership that has become a cornerstone of the label’s modern sound. As Drumcode celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, this release serves as a testament to the label’s enduring influence on the global techno scene.
Mark Reeve, a staple of the Drumcode roster since his 2012 debut with ‘Drumatic,’ has cultivated a deep musical synergy with Beyer over the last decade. Their history dates back to 2016 with the release of ‘Nine of You,’ a track that remains a permanent fixture in Beyer’s live sets. Following the success of their earlier 2026 collaboration, ‘Love Within’—which became the unofficial anthem of Drumcode’s Mallorca event—the duo felt compelled to return to the studio to capture that same energy.
Reflecting on the creative process, Reeve noted that the EP was born from a desire to blend old-school sensibilities with contemporary production techniques. “The title—’Do Our Thing’—really sums up the idea behind this EP. Just two friends making the music they love and doing what feels right,” Reeve explained. He further emphasized the personal nature of their work, stating, “When I look back at our journey, what makes it so special is that it’s always been about much more than just music. After all these years, Adam and I still share the same passion, the same musical taste, and the same excitement about creating something together.”
The EP showcases a diverse range of sounds tailored for the dancefloor:
- ‘Synchronize’: A high-octane tool designed for peak-time energy, featuring a driving guitar riff.
- ‘Frames’: A track defined by its silky, melodic textures layered over heavy, rhythmic percussion.
- ‘Do Our Thing’: The title track, which integrates a sharp, rapped vocal line with intricate drum patterns.
- ‘Santiago’: A soaring, punchy closer specifically crafted for the final hours of a set.

With Adam Beyer continuing his legacy as one of techno’s most consistent forces and label heads, and Mark Reeve further expanding his impressive catalog, Do Our Thing stands as a highlight of the 2026 release calendar. The EP is available now on all major platforms.
