When an emerging selector with a sharp ear for groove teams up with one of pop and dance music’s most expressive vocalists, the result usually speaks for itself. Producer and DJ Matt Suave has officially unveiled his second solo single, ‘Be Good,’ bringing along Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter VINCINT to handle lead vocal duties. The song clocks in at just over three minutes, and the record wastes zero time getting down to business. It lands squarely in the sweet spot between glossy vocal house and driving late-night energy.
Big Vocals, Zero Clutter
If you have heard VINCINT on tracks before, you already know the man possesses an unreal set of pipes. On ‘Be Good,’ his soulful, expressive delivery carries the whole emotional weight of the song without ever feeling out of place. A lot of producers make the mistake of cluttering the mix when working with big vocalists, burying their range under endless synth layers. Matt Suave avoids that trap completely. Instead, he keeps the production tight, punchy, and dynamic. He gives the vocal melody space to lead while holding down the low end with a bassline that makes it impossible to stand still. It strikes that sweet balance between an afternoon poolside groove and a sweaty 1:00 AM warehouse transition.
Taking Over One of Denver’s Most Immersive Experiences
If you are around the Mile High City, you will not have to wait long to hear ‘Be Good’ rattle a massive sound system in person. Matt Suave is bringing his PLAYHAUS crew into Meow Wolf Denver next weekend for a two-night takeover on October 23 and 24. The event is dubbed Danceportation: PlayHaus. It transforms the surreal halls of Convergence Station into a full-scale queer psychedelic haunted haus party. Suave steps up on the decks alongside heavyweights like The Knocks, LSDXOXO, and Mz Worthy. This makes it easily one of the wildest and most immersive Halloween-season parties on the local calendar. Also, catching his bass-heavy, uplifting selections inside Meow Wolf’s mind-bending labyrinth is going to be something special.
Putting Himself on the Map
Teaming up with an artist of VINCINT’s caliber while locking down headlining spaces at premier arts venues is a massive statement. Suave delivers a polished cut that proves he belongs in the conversation. ‘Be Good’ is fun, infectious, and tailor-made to soundtrack your upcoming weekend plans. If you are hunting for fresh tunes to flesh out your current dance rotation, bump this one through some real speakers. You can add it to your queue here, and get your passes here before Meow Wolf caps capacity.
