Ibiza favourite Danny Wade has just unleashed his eagerly awaited new Afro House single, ‘GATU‘, on Sirup Music’s Club Culture sublabel. Danny, a resident at ICON Ibiza, continues to build his reputation as one of the island’s most vital figures, also bleeding his talents into the world of music production.
This release arrives during quite the defining year for Danny. His ICON shows have been a rousing success, hosting some of the most groundbreaking names in House and Techno, including Black Coffee and Keinemusik. Beyond the dreamy Isle, Wade’s standing has grown across the global circuit with appearances at Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Medusa Festival, and Pacha Festival, as well as countless clubs throughout Europe.
‘GATU’
Wade’s latest, ‘GATU’, captivates from the very first beat. At least, that’s what happened to me. The track’s got this incredibly catchy, groovy bassline that won’t let me go, accentuated by these raspy percussion hits that only elevate the full instrumental even more. It didn’t take much for this track to really catch my attention.
And to follow the instrumental bed, some high-pitched spoken vocals follow suit for a great combo. Danny himself comments, “I inspired myself with some Spanish vocals and focused especially on the bassline to ensure this track carried the hypnotic, rhythmic power that I envisioned”.
I can confirm that it always works, no matter the place. I played it in clubs, beach clubs, and festivals, and I’ve consistently been surprised about the positive reaction of the crowd.
