We’re happy to see Organic House alive and well, preserved by quality artists like this one.
Whenever you look for some groovy, rich song in the 118-124 BPM range nowadays, you’re very likely to get a Prog House song to listen to. Which is not bad at all, but sometimes you want to dig a bit deeper and find a track that truly feels more “alive” and natural. That’s why, I’m happy to share this track with you, which scratched my Organic itch so well. Meet Traumhouse.
Traumhouse’s musical beginnings can be traced back to the new wave sounds of the 1980s. Bands like Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Pet Shop Boys helped shape his love for melody. These influences, coupled with the fact that personal difficulties, including grief and strength, have influenced his creative process, create a musical quest for an emotional link in his music. I’d say that’s easy to see in his latest remix.
‘Call To Mind (Traumhouse Remix)’
Playful yet professional-sounding, Traumhouse’s mix of the Kazko & Vance original track ‘Call To Mind‘ excels at playing with different grooves and textures while retaining a sense of home and warmth. I know “home” is not a common term to describe a song, but that’s what makes me feel. It makes me feel welcome. The Trance pluck used for the main melody also elevates this feeling for me.
And in true Organic House fashion, the break is as majestic as it gets. Distant sitar-like melodies, warm pianos, washed away percussion, fly-away pads… It’s got everything to get you flying. I love songs that are able to get you in that floating mood, and I’m seeing less of those with each passing day. So I’m spoiled with this one!
