Usher In Fall 2025 With Lane 8’s Beautiful Mixtape

Lane 8 just dropped the fall 2025 mixtape, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s Hump Day, and even though the fall skies look gloomy, this mix brings the sunshine. Three hours of melodic tracks, fresh IDs, and pure emotion—exactly what I needed. Every time I read “I have made you a mixtape,” I smile. I’ll never get tired of it. It’s been a year since Childish, and I’m hopeful more magic is coming. But for now, I’m diving into this beautiful 56-track journey. Join me?

Fall 2025 Mixtape

I love counting IDs the moment a mixtape drops. Then I dive into the This Never Happened Discord and tracklist 1001 to cross-check my guesses. It keeps me busy all day before I share my thoughts with everyone. This morning, before some tracks were identified, I counted around 15 IDs. Can you hear familiar sounds? Maybe guess based on artists teasing on Instagram? Massane, we’re looking at you. His collab with Qrion is one we’re all waiting for. You can hear Jyll’s vocals on ID4. That might be another ID from Colyn, a newcomer to the label. Other unreleased tracks include confirmed ones from TNH regulars like Otherwish and Dirty South. But some IDs might be Le Youth’s. He recently shared that he’s been cooking up new music in the studio.

This mixtape hits deep. Some real genre-blenders in here. After 10+ years, I still wonder—will it stop surprising me? It never does. Lane 8 mixes Mahmut Orhan’s  ‘Saskin,’ with andhim ft. Zaho de Sagazan’s ‘Mon Corps.’ Turkish beats flow right into French vocals. That moment at the 49-minute mark? Pure magic. I keep diving deeper. Icelandic band Múm’s ‘I’m 9 Today’ slows the tempo and calms everything down. Then Daniel blends Christian Löffler vs. Jeremy Olander – ‘Beside You vs. Samus’. That mashup? Brilliant. The compilation pulls in so many artists—Tame Impala, Phantoms, Justice, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. It’s a wild, beautiful ride.

You know me—I can talk about these tracks forever. Every time I replay the mixtape, I find something new to gasp about.Lane 8 is heading back to Red Rocks for a sold-out show in a few weeks. If you want to catch him live and experience a This Never Happened set, check out his tour dates here. Until the winter mixtape drops, I’ll keep breaking the repeat button.
