Marten Lou is staying in collaboration mode. Following ‘Need You’ with Colyn and ‘Hideaway’ alongside Luch, the German producer now teams up with French breakout artist RIVO on his latest single, ‘Technicolor.’ The track is out now via Major Recordings/Warner Records on all platforms.
While Marten Lou has continued building momentum with releases like ‘My Love For You (Yebba’s Heartbreak),’ ‘Your Body’ and ‘Save Me,’ RIVO has carved out a serious lane of his own. The French producer first broke through internationally in 2024 with his official remix of Disclosure’s ‘You & Me,’ and has since racked up over 600 million streams in just two and a half years — with collaborations alongside Adriatique and a rework of RÜFUS DU SOL’s ‘In the Moment’ adding to his profile.
On ‘Technicolor,’ both artists meet on shared ground: a deep melodic house foundation layered with shimmering 80s synth-pop influences. Warm basslines run up against glowing synth textures that continuously unfold across the track’s five-minute runtime, while reverb-drenched falsetto vocals float above the instrumental. It carries Marten Lou’s recognizable signatures — emotional, immersive, and still built for big dance floors.
Lyrically, the single draws directly from its title. Inspired by the Technicolor film process — known for its vivid, deeply saturated color — the song centers on an encounter that makes everything feel suddenly brighter and more intense. Lines like “Your touch is technicolor” and “Only you can save us now” lean into euphoria and escapism rather than straightforward love-song territory.
Despite having a sound tailor-made for open-air sunset sets, ‘Technicolor’ is clearly built for peak-time impact. Rather than hitting all at once, it builds through a warm, hypnotic energy that keeps pulling listeners forward for the full duration.
Marten Lou Heads to Ibiza Next Week
Alongside the release, Marten Lou’s touring schedule shows no sign of slowing. He recently played North American headline shows, including a set in New York in front of around 2,000 people. He heads to Ibiza in just days, with a performance at Hï Ibiza on June 25th on the calendar.
Marten Lou has already appeared at Coachella, Burning Man, Tomorrowland and Untold Festival, and counts support from Keinemusik, Adriatique and CamelPhat. He currently sits at over 3 million monthly Spotify listeners and 190 million total streams. RIVO, originally from Brive-la-Gaillarde, held a 14-week residency at UNVRS in Ibiza and has logged more than 200 shows worldwide since 2024 — two artists clearly on the same upward trajectory.
