Downtown Los Angeles is getting a new dedicated electronic music venue. ORIGIN Los Angeles, an independent indoor/outdoor space at 613 Imperial Street in the Arts District, is set to open late summer/early fall 2026 — bringing a purpose-built club environment to one of the city’s most culturally active neighborhoods.
The venue is founded by Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar, the duo behind LA nightlife brands SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, and the producers responsible for events like LABYRINTO, Brunch Electronik, The Maze, FLOAT, and Resolutions. Between them, they bring over 20 years of experience shaping LA’s underground scene — and ORIGIN represents their first permanent venue.
The concept builds on an existing industrial event space at the Imperial Street address, now fully realized as a venue with a main indoor music room and a grand outdoor patio. The Arts District setting is intentional — it sits at the intersection of music, art, and community in a neighborhood that’s already a hub for independent culture in Los Angeles.
Programming-wise, expect top-tier electronic bookings every Friday, with Saturdays alternating between daytime outdoor events and late-night house and techno. ORIGIN will also host quarterly Arts District parties utilizing both the indoor and outdoor spaces. An initial talent lineup is still to come.
On the technical side, the venue features a custom analog KV2 Audio system, designed and tuned specifically for the space. The focus is on clarity and consistency — even coverage from the dance floor to the mezzanine — while the dedicated outdoor rig is engineered to hold its own in open-air conditions. Interior design comes from Marc Dizon, who has credits at Brooklyn Mirage, Output New York, Hakkasan Las Vegas, and Sound Los Angeles.
Brand identity for ORIGIN is being led by Super Evil Genius Group, the LA-based creative agency behind John Summit‘s Experts Only Records, Framework’s Spotlight Hollywood, Wynn Nightlife’s 2024 residency launch, Art Of The Wild Festival, and the opening of Tao Beach in Las Vegas.
The broader pitch from the ORIGIN team is straightforward: an underground-rooted, music-first venue with consistent programming and a long-term vision — a permanent home for artists, promoters, and the communities that orbit LA’s electronic scene.
