Dutch powerhouse Nicky Romero has teamed up with Timmy Trumpet for the latest Protocol Recordings release, “Falling.” The producers have delivered an energetic, yet versatile listen that works equally well on the highway or in the club.
“Falling” ventures outside the ubiquitous 128BPM territory, opting for a high octane 138BPM instead. Paired with supersaw synths organized intp 2euphoric progressions, it becomes clear that the single’s influence might have been drawn from a different time. However, these elements are ultimately twisted into a piece that feels more contemporary overall—one that feels fit as a main stage set closer.
Romero and Trumpet have already tested the single out on the club and festival circuit including their b2b performance at ADE 2019 and at Echostage in Washington, DC. The collaboration was well-received, and it’s now apparent the duo should collaborate more thanks to the output of this infectious single.
