Burning Man Project (BMP) is a nonprofit corporation famous for producing Burning Man in Black Rock City, Nevada. Recently, BMP announced the creation of a new virtual shared live experience called, Kindling.
Kindling
Burning Man Project took their excitement to Twitter and announced the following, “Meet Kindling — a new portal for exploring Burning Man culture through participation in live virtual events. Since we can’t gather in person, Kindling is your space to explore life experiences being created by instigators in the BMan community & beyond.”
Kindling is a new space where users from all over the world can gather and get a closer look into the Burning Man community. If you are ready to explore, they offer the following five options: Gather, Experience, Play, Co-Learn, and Ignite. These options have virtual events, live performances, screenings, and celebrations. Users have the ability to host a live experience within each platform. Fans can even engage with speakers and storytellers.
One of the upcoming featured experiences is NOMCOM 2020 and runs from June 3rd through the 6th. The Nation of Makers Annual Convening will feature over 60 online sessions that will include panels, exhibitors, meaningful dialogue, and much more. Art Speaks, an artist talk show, is another event happening on Thursday, June 25, 2020. It starts at 5:00 p.m. and runs for 30 minutes. If you want to learn more or even create your own project, you can head over to the website and click kindle a project.
Due to the cancellation of Burning Man 2020, the BMP wanted to do something special for the rave community. With this new project, fans will get to experience a glimpse of what Burning Man could have been. If you would like to donate and help this virtual platform come alive, you can do so on the website. So if you haven’t checked out Kindling yet, I suggest you do.
