World-renowned techno DJ and producer Amelie Lens has released her brand-new debut album AURA. Released today on her label EXHALE after much anticipation, AURA comprises 11 tracks, including the recent single ‘run’ featuring fellow Belgian Angèle – the only featured artist to appear on the album. The album is available now both digitally and on gatefold double 12″ vinyl in blue and white.
AURA
AURA represents the connection between Lens and the crowd. She states that music has always been her escape, and that she is able to create new things with those emotions. Lens has always been proud of her raver roots. Since she was younger, the artist has been able to create introspective worlds inside her mind while at nightclubs to find unlimited freedom. As a result, this album reflects on her journey.
The album reflects on the balance she has thoroughly achieved in her life. She expresses that the album reflects her life experiences, starting in smaller nightclubs and driving into the night for different gigs, and of course, to bigger festivals and shows. Moreover, she has drawn inspiration from her life as a mother, founding her label, EXHALE.
Amelie achieved playfulness and lightness within a high-energy album. From ‘falling into acid dreams’ to ‘run’ and ‘4am in RSO’, the artist achieves a concoction of intimate beats, emotional vocals, and power. The album takes us through the amplified bangers and the more hypnotic rumbles.
Album Release Celebration
In celebration of the album’s release, Amelie is performing a one-off, never-done-before event in Antwerp, Belgium. She will play a set in front of the city’s KSMKA fine arts museum, with a crowd of 14,000 fans excited to hear the album played out live for the first time.
Amelie Lens
Amelie Lens was born in Vilvoorde, Belgium, and raised by her grandmother from the age of five. She discovered electronic music at fifteen, after attending Dour Festival in 2005, an experience she has described as life-changing, and gave up a career in fashion modelling in 2014 to pursue music full-time. Since then, she has become one of techno’s defining names, a regular headliner at major global festivals, and the founder of two labels, Lenske and EXHALE. AURA marks her first full-length album after a decade-long career built on relentless touring, razor-sharp production, and an unfiltered commitment to the dancefloor.
