Juliet Fox and CARAVEL have officially joined forces for their debut on Insomniac’s MUTATE Records with ‘Nobody Else (Off My Mind),’ a hard-psy collaboration that finds two distinct corners of the techno underground meeting in the middle. The track is available now across all major streaming platforms.
Built around a vocal hook that leans into the obsessive headspace of limerence, ‘Nobody Else (Off My Mind)’ captures that specific kind of fixation where someone won’t leave your head. The production reinforces this concept with galloping basslines, driving percussion, zipper rolls, and mechanical textures. The artists describe the sound as featuring “anabolic screeches,” with choir-style vocal harmonies and crunchy breakbeat syncopation cutting through at key moments. While the track is sonically dense, the emotional melodies and vocal work provide necessary breathing room against its otherwise relentless hard-psy backbone.
A Collaboration Born on the Road
The collaboration traces back to a shared bill in New York in August 2025. Juliet Fox noted that the idea took root during conversations following that performance. “So happy to see this track finally get released; we started the conversation back when we played together in New York in August 2025, so one year on we’ve got this absolute dancefloor banger,” she shared. “We wanted to find a middle ground and a meeting place for our styles. We have a lot of crossover but still some uniqueness in our performance and production. This track definitely captures the essence of both of our worlds and brings them together.”
CARAVEL echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the goal of creating something authentic to both artists rather than a compromise. “From there, we blended our two worlds, combining emotional melodies, powerful vocals, and hard psy influences to create a track that reflects both of our identities,” she explained. “The result is a track that captures both of our identities while creating something fresh for the dancefloor.”
Artist Backgrounds
Juliet Fox, originally from Adelaide and now based in Lisbon, has cultivated a sound shaped by her time in Berlin’s underground scene, characterized by hypnotic techno, raw ’90s-style grooves, and industrial flourishes. Beyond her production work, she manages the TREGAMBE label and hosts the podcast The Mother Frequency. Meanwhile, CARAVEL, who is based in Paris, has established herself in the hard-techno circuit by blending schranz, psytrance, and industrial elements. Her work has garnered support from industry heavyweights including Amelie Lens and Lilly Palmer.
