Los Angeles-based Melodic House producer and DJ Le Youth released his newest single ‘alone’ featuring Indie electronic duo Forester and Lo-Fi producer Robertson. Available via Lane 8’s This Never Happened, the track release leads the way just weeks ahead of his upcoming album release, who are you really? on March 6th. The artist will then begin his tour of the same name across England, the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, and the US.
Le Youth, Forester, Robertson – ‘alone’
The song begins with a soothing bass and mellow harmonies, introducing us to Forester’s heavenly vocals. The sultry cords and Forester’s tone relax your body and inspire your mind. Moreover, the lyrics emphasize heartbreak and vulnerability. This marks the duo’s second collaboration with Le Youth, following 2024’s ‘Stay Still’ featuring Lyrah’s charming vocals. The song reflects on wanting to come back from a lost love, and poses the mindset that sometimes one would rather feel alone than have any negative feelings at all. Nonetheless, ‘alone’ aspires to bring out a resolution to the problem. As the track builds up into an emotional drop, the vision is clear. Le Youth has slowly revealed his upcoming work with single releases and a sneak peek livestream earlier last month. Tracks including ‘i don’t know what to say’, ‘sanctuary’, ‘still my ecstasy’, and ‘blinded’ progressively reveal the artists psyche, leading into the official album release next month. So far, collaborators include Lipless, Hana Fatur, ALLKNIGHT, Ella Poletti, and Orem. The artist has emphasized the relevance of introspective exploration for this album. The 14-track LP projects his self-reflection from the last year. His last milestones put into perspective things he has chased, and who he feels he has become.
