Lux Beauregard Delights Indie Fans With Debut Single “Fireworks”

Indie singer-songwriter Lux Beauregard released her debut single, “Fireworks,” a hypnotic single introducing the emerging artist to the fans. “Fireworks” is a deeply meaningful release,  about the coexistence of beauty and tragedy during the year 2020 in Lux’s life. The incredibly painful year inspired Lux to record a song portraying the complex feelings arising when atrocity and beauty simultaneously happen.

She explains: “you can fall in love while the world is falling apart, though. Somehow, those emotions can exist together. I wanted to make a song that expressed that idea and sounded both as heartbroken and hopeful as 2020 has made me feel.”

Dreamy and cinematic, her lush and ethereal sound finds its root in a blend of indie pop, chamber pop and baroque pop. Lux’s synesthesia plays an active role in her creative process, with often a piece of art or a color palette in mind that looks how the song sounds in her head, guiding the whole process. Literature also fuels her creativity, as her grandmother was a librarian who influenced the way she developed characters in her songs, and the main reason for her impulse to write.
