YouTube Originals has shared a teaser for its upcoming documentary, Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert. The preview follows Coachella‘s full lineup announcement for the festival’s 2020 iteration, featuring headliners Rage Against the Machine, Frank Ocean, and Travis Scott. The documentary premieres March 31 on YouTube.
The new feature will focus on the festival’s transformation over the last two decades into its current stature and give rare perspective into the event’s beginnings. Directed and produced by Chris Perkel, Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert will highlight never-before-seen footage and interviews as well as exclusive material and performances from acts including Radiohead, Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia, Moby, Kanye West, LCD Soundsystem, Björk, Beck, and more.
Coachella will return for two weekends over April 10 – 12 and April 17 – 19. The festival programming welcomes a colorful assortment of electronic talent from Disclosure, Calvin Harris, Madeon, to Testpilot, TNGHT, Lane 8, and A-Trak, to name a few.
