R3HAB has officially unveiled his third studio album, Dream inside a dream…, out now via Universal Music. This project marks a significant milestone for the Dutch-Moroccan producer, serving as his most introspective work to date and his first full-length studio release in several years.
The 12-track collection navigates an emotional landscape defined by themes of love, loneliness, gratitude, and the complexities of self-discovery. At its core, the album poses a poignant question: what happens to an artist after the dreams they spent their entire career chasing finally become reality? Having spent over fifteen years commanding festival stages and accumulating billions of streams, R3HAB—born Fadil El Ghoul—uses this record to turn his creative lens inward.
Each track functions as a distinct chapter in a larger narrative. The album opens with a guided meditation from Jason Stephenson, setting the stage for the deep house-infused “I had a dream…” featuring Izzy Bizu. The project continues with “Right here…” alongside RHODES, a track that notably features R3HAB providing his own vocals for the first time. The journey progresses through the euphoric “Lost in translation…” and reaches an emotional peak with the pulsing, synth-heavy “More than enough…”
R3HAB also pays homage to his heritage on “All I am…”, which incorporates traditional Moroccan snake charmer flutes into a modern production landscape, featuring vocalist Orem. Orem returns later on the track “Watch my heart go…”, which balances atmospheric depth with high-energy festival sensibilities.
The title track, “Dream inside a dream…”, serves as the project’s cornerstone. R3HAB reflects on the track’s meaning, stating, “This song is a reminder to myself to keep dreaming, even when it feels like I’ve already lived so much of what I once imagined. As a kid I dreamed of success, and many of these early dreams have come true. The way that dreams inspire more dreams now has me feeling like I’m living a dream inside a dream. But life keeps giving, and every new season brings dreams of its own.”
With a career defined by massive remixes for artists like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and The Chainsmokers, R3HAB continues to solidify his status as a titan of dance music.
