Things are starting to look up for Electric Forest 2021.
The Rothbury Village Council recently approved June dates for the festival. Additionally, the council offered two alternate weekends in August.
In the event that COVID-19 presents issues forcing a cancellation in June, the backup dates for Electric Forest 2021 are Aug. 12-15 and Aug. 19-22. Currently, the exact dates in June are unknown but will likely fall at the end of the month. Regardless, the Electric Forest team is working hard to hold the music festival sometime this summer.
About a month ago, the Electric Forest HQ sent out an update regarding summer 2021 dates. While the update was vague, it confirmed that HQ was considering dates in June, giving hope to the Forest Family.
The 2020 cancellation devastated the Electric Forest organizers and attendees who were preparing for the 10th anniversary of the festival. While the festival has held off releasing any info regarding 2021 activities, attendees are hoping to still have 10th-anniversary celebrations. The 2021 edition may also incorporate additional measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and keep the festival goes safe and comfortable.
Undoubtedly, this news has the Forest Fam feeling overjoyed. However, many factors are still up in the air for Electric Forest 2021.
Electric Forest 2020
The Forest HQ originally scheduled the 10th edition of Electric Forest for June 25 – 28.
Initially, in March of 2020 during the mass cancellation of music festivals worldwide, the Electric Forest team planned to move forward with the festival.
On April 21, the team made the decision to look ahead to 2021.
“Imagine positive vibrations at levels we have never felt in our lifetimes. It will be an immense moment of celebration, and preparing for that energy will keep Forest HQ working tirelessly until opening day,” the Forest HQ wrote in a press release.
Without a doubt, the team is ready to bring Electric Forest back to Rothbury. Only time will tell whether it can be done in 2021.
