Sapian is finally releasing ‘Reason Why,’ one of the most talked-about unreleased IDs in dance music over the past year, on August 14. The track also marks the first release on Prophecy, the new label from British duo Prospa.
For a record that’s spent the better part of a year without an official release, ‘Reason Why’ has already done the rounds. It’s picked up support from Anyma, Prospa, Cloonee, Josh Baker, SOSA, Gaskin and others, moving from underground ID to a recurring highlight in sets from some of the scene’s more influential selectors. That kind of slow-burn buzz tends to translate online, and in this case it has — the track has racked up over 4 million combined TikTok views across more than 600 videos, plus north of 500,000 plays on an unofficial SoundCloud rip.
Prospa Launches Prophecy as a Label
Prospa has spent the last couple of years building Prophecy into a recognizable party brand, leaning on immersive production and a strong visual identity to set its events apart. During Miami Music Week in March 2026, Prophecy took over The Park at Factory Town with a lineup that included Prospa themselves, Carlita, Skream, DJ Seinfeld, Jaden Thompson and Matt’s Experiment. The series has also sold out shows at Magazine in London, a KOKO afterparty, Brooklyn Storehouse in New York, and an Austin date at The Concourse Project alongside Partiboi69.
More international dates are on the calendar for the rest of 2026, including a Prophecy event at Awakenings during ADE in Amsterdam and another at Radius in Chicago. Turning Prophecy into a label is the next logical step for Prospa — giving the brand a permanent recorded output to go along with the live events, rather than existing purely as a touring party concept.
‘Reason Why’ carries the catalogue number PR001, making it the first release under the new imprint. Given how long this record has circulated as an ID, its release doubles as both a debut for Sapian on a bigger stage and a statement of intent for what Prophecy wants to be as a label.
