Solomun is set to make a highly anticipated return to New York on June 19 to headline the opening of Pacha New York. This performance marks a significant departure for the Diynamic Music founder, as it breaks a strict personal rule he has upheld for over a decade: remaining in Europe throughout the summer season to avoid long-haul travel and time zone shifts.
A Change of Heart
The decision to perform in New York was not made lightly. Solomun had initially declined the invitation to participate in the club's launch, citing his commitment to his established summer rhythm. However, his recent experiences in the city—specifically his performances at the Fulton Fish Market and the Knockdown Center—left a lasting impression.
During his May shows, Solomun was moved by the dedication of his fans, who braved hours of rain to witness his sets. Reflecting on the experience, he noted, "I held that rule for over ten years. I never questioned it. And then I watched thousands of people stand in the rain for hours without moving. After that, staying home was not an option anymore."

Exclusive Access for Fans
In a gesture of gratitude, Solomun will perform without a fee, and access to the opening night will be granted via a registration lottery. This system prioritizes those who attended his previous New York events, ensuring that the most dedicated supporters have the first opportunity to secure entry.
"This isn't about selling tickets," Solomun added. "It's about thanking the people who were already there."
This performance also serves to strengthen his long-standing connection with the Pacha brand, a relationship that has been central to his career since the launch of his Solomun +1 residency in 2013. As he celebrates the 20th anniversary of his label, Diynamic Music, this milestone event in New York highlights his ongoing commitment to authenticity and his deep bond with his audience.
