Sydney duo Me Again drop dark and downtempo single “Selfish”

Relative fresh Sydney duo Me Again have shared another tempting cut of electronica that draws a striking resemblance to Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harringtons DARKSIDE project.

The track “Selfish” opens with a whirl before a thick and fat bassline sets the foundation for driving synths and ascending guitar licks coupled with rich and at times drawly vocals.

With Nathans cues in electronic and Kyles blues-rock background, the track offers a unique crossroad of sounds. On the track, Nathan told us its origins

The track came about right at the very end of another recording session. Just as we were finishing up I started jamming on a synth and Kyle then started playing the bass line, before we knew it the song just began to come together. We couldn’t stop laughing and just vibing to how everything started to fall into place, it was really fun writing this one!

Their previous works are pointed by what seems like influence from Bob Moses, RUFUS and again, Nicolas Jaar’s sonic output. For a relatively new act, we’re highly impressed and looking forward to more output from the pair!
