WildVibes & Monroe - Wild Wild West
75%Overall Score
• Country music meets modern electronic
• Bold pianos and a charismatic vocal
• Carrying nostalgic vibes similar to Avicii’s tunes
Monroe was featured on our blog just last month while reviewing his Bass House synergy “The Devil Inside“, and Wildvibes has remained on our radar for a while due to his Progressive House explorations. This time, the talented minds have paired up for the “Wild Wild West“! Published via TurnItUpMuzik, this composition has crossovers between rebellious outlaw country music and a delightful piano-laden structure that impressed from the get-go!
The joint venture beings with a resounding vocal, nearly chant-like: it’s not the usual “Wake Me Up” melancholic style section (already explored in the latest KSHMR track). This one carries more charisma and flair. Some whistles here and country guitar there, and a sudden upright piano begins to play. It’s more or less the same lead as in “Seek Bromance“, a hit that saw Avicii hurtled to stardom in the scene, and thus my nostalgia was multiplied several times from this fascinating aspect.
Of course, knowing the artists involved here, Monroe and Wildvibes didn’t let the opportunity slide out of hand and embedded some modernism into the blueprints, with a thriving melodic riff and an elegant bassline giving away a shining personality to the “Wild Wild West”.
Concluding, this entertaining adventure is laced with a vintage aura, and it is inevitable that Avicii fans and other like-minded listeners will find it lovely, fairly compensated by a refreshing experience thanks to the creative brains at work here. Last but not the least, the singing duties have a true innate vibrancy. One for your jukebox
