The A State Of Trance guys join forces for a proper Trance belter.
Trance truly is back. We’ve seen it time and time again with acts such as SUPERSTRINGS, Amy Wiles, and Ben Hemsley bringing the former King of Dance back to its very deserving throne. One of these heroes is Ferry Corsten, who actually joined forces with the iconic Ruben de Ronde to deliver a brand-new, pleasantly-old-school tune: ‘New Inner Way‘.
Ferry Corsten has been at the forefront of Dance music for decades. He’s particularly well-known for producing influential Trance music, especially during the 1990s and 2000s, shaping the genre. He has released music under various aliases, including System F, Veracocha, and Gouryella. He’s recently gone all-in with Classic Trance once again, giving us lovers an absolute feast of a treat.
Ruben de Ronde, on the other hand, is a well-known Dutch DJ, producer, and radio host, particularly prominent in the Progressive and Trance music scenes. He’s known for his atmospheric and emotive sound, working as a DJ and producer with collaborations and remixes for various artists. He runs his own record label, Statement!, as well as having a constant presence in Armada.
‘New Inner Way’
A clubbier, more up-tempo follow-up to ‘Bloodstream’, ‘New Inner Way’ sees Ferry and Ruben kicking it up a notch. For a start, de Ronde called his subalias NRG2000 for this. And the rest of the magic comes from simply hitting ‘Play’ and losing yourself in the craze that is this song. And I mean it in the absolute best way possible.
From the nostalgia-invoking synthwork to the title referencing a street in Rotterdam famous for housing many vinyl stores back in the day, this track pays homage to the past times every new track is rooted in. And it shows. The dry percussion and fast-paced rhythms can only be borrowed from the 90s and early 2000s. The track is yet another treat for all of us who had been missing this kind of Dance music for eternal years.
