Eric Prydz has been presenting Holosphere 2.0 at the most technologically advanced venue in Ibiza. UNVRS opened this summer in stunning fashion and is quickly taking the ranks among Ibiza’s best venues. From June 2nd to September 1st, the master of innovation will show the world a revolutionary new version of his audio-visual masterpiece. After five years of development, Holosphere 2.0 is even larger than the previous 8-ton, 2-story build seen in 2019.
Prydz has offered us an exclusive look into the building of the Holosphere 2.0. It is hailed as one of the most ambitious live productions in the history of electronic music. But for Prydz and his team, that was only the beginning. Holosphere 2.0 represents a total reengineering of the experience, from the visuals and lighting to the sound design and structural layout.
The documentary outlines the evolution of this vision, focusing on how the team elevated the original concept into a truly immersive, future-forward concert format that blends high art with cutting-edge technology. Most of the documentary centers on the team of engineers, programmers, and designers who worked tirelessly to bring Holosphere 2.0 to life.
Eric Prydz doesn’t shy away from the pressure of expectation. The video includes intimate reflections on his creative process, his obsession with detail, and his drive to connect emotionally with his audience despite the overwhelming scale of the show. Prydz says in the documentary:
“This isn’t just about going bigger. It’s about going deeper—into the music, into the visuals, into the feeling of it all.”
