AlphaTheta’s New Three Channel Mixer

AlphaTheta, the industry leader in DJ tech has officially announced a new three-channel DJ mixer, the DJM-V5, expanding its DJ equipment lineup with a more compact model positioned below its flagship six-channel unit. The DJM-V5 draws design and functional inspiration from the DJM-V10, retaining core professional features such as a 4-band EQ and Send FX while streamlining the mixer into a three-channel format suited to smaller setups or booths where space is limited.

Each channel on the mixer includes low-pass, high-pass, and a newly introduced cross-pass filter. According to AlphaTheta, the cross-pass filter allows DJs to preserve low-end energy while shaping mid and high frequencies, which can help make key musical elements more distinct without interrupting the groove.

The unit also offers six built-in effects — short delay, reverb, shimmer, tape echo, PingPong, and echo-verb — accessible via dedicated controls for expanded creative expression during performances.

A notable addition in the DJM-V5 is the integrated SonicLink transmitter, AlphaTheta’s proprietary low-latency wireless audio technology. This feature enables DJs to pair compatible headphones for wireless monitoring with minimal delay, providing greater flexibility during sets.

In terms of connectivity, the mixer supports PRO DJ LINK, allowing it to work seamlessly with rekordbox and compatible AlphaTheta players such as the CDJ-3000 series for synchronized effects and cueing.

The DJM-V5 is priced at approximately €1,999 / £1,739 / $1,999, positioning it as a mid-range option for DJs seeking professional-grade sound and creative control in a more compact form factor.

This release follows another recent AlphaTheta product launch: the RMX-Ignite multi-band effects and sampler, highlighting ongoing expansion in the company’s hardware offerings.
