Today marks the arrival of Le Youth’s third studio album, who are you really?. Following the massive success of About Us (2023), Wes James is diving deeper into the melodic, introspective house sounds that have defined his recent era. This record isn’t just a collection of club tracks; it’s a thematic exploration of identity and self-reflection. About Us was more focused on love, relationships, and heartbreak, but this one is an exploration of self
As anticipation for the album was building before its release, Le Youth reached into the community he had built through live streams on Instagram and conversations with fans, where he addressed the album’s core question—who are you really?—by discussing his personal life, his own struggles with identity, and the pressure of the music industry. He dropped teasers such as ‘blinded’ and ‘Sanctuary’. We were fortunate to sit down with Le Youth before his album release to ask a few questions during Groove Cruise.

“This album isn’t just about the music; it’s about the questions we’re afraid to ask ourselves when the lights go down. I wanted to create something that feels honest—something that challenges the listener to look inward.” — Le Youth
Album Highlights:
“sanctuary” (with ALLKNIGHT): Released in late 2025, this track became an instant fan favorite for its classic Le Youth warmth and uplifting progression.
‘still my ecstasy’ (with Ella Poletti): A moodier, late-night anthem that teased the darker, more introspective corners of the album.
“i don’t know what to say” (feat. Hana Fatur): A vulnerable, vocal-heavy track ready for fans to dance to, that bridged the gap between his About Us era and this new, deeper direction.
“blinded” (with Orem): The final “big” single that dropped just weeks before the album, known for its cinematic breakdown that famously brought fans to tears when debuted during his set at Red Rocks.
