Two generations of German techno producers have officially joined forces on the legendary Drumcode label, with Kaufmann and Oliver Huntemann unveiling their debut collaboration, ‘K.O.‘ The partnership represents a natural evolution for both artists; Kaufmann has previously showcased her production prowess through multiple EPs on Huntemann’s own Senso Sounds imprint, including standout releases like ‘Poolboi’ and ‘Ibu 3000’. Having long cited Huntemann as a significant influence on her sonic development—even naming his track ‘Unravel Me’ as a personal favorite—this collaboration marks a milestone in their professional relationship.
‘K.O.’ serves as a pivotal release for Kaufmann, representing her first contribution to Drumcode in 2026. Her recent trajectory with the label has been impressive, featuring tracks such as ‘Broncho’s Sandman’ on DC4 Vol.1 and ‘People Are Strange’ on A-Sides Vol.14. For Huntemann, a veteran fixture of the European techno scene for decades, the collaboration further cements his ongoing presence on the label following his contribution to A-Sides Vol.14 with ‘TrackonTrack’.

Reflecting on the creative process, both artists expressed mutual admiration for their distinct yet complementary styles. Kaufmann noted, “It’s a pleasure working with Oliver. It was so nice to see how we wanted the same thing with different approaches and in the end, being the best team.” Huntemann echoed this sentiment, stating, “Working with Kaufmann felt incredibly natural from the start. We came from different creative angles, but shared the same vision—and that’s exactly what made this collaboration so special.”
‘K.O.’ is available now on all major streaming platforms. Experience the synergy of these two techno powerhouses below.
