As one of Brazil‘s hottest DJ groups, Audax is a trio who produces some really good music. They’ve just released their new song called ‘Holy Sinner’ on Sirup Music, the label owned by EDX.
Audax consists of three brothers: the twins André (vocals) and Pedro (guitar) and the youngest João (bass). Implementing the use of instruments in their music has really helped them to stand out.
Although Audax’s touring schedule has been halted, that hasn’t stopped them from making music. For ‘Holy Sinner’ they wanted to merge progressive house with the sounds of bells. This is a nod to ‘Hells Bells‘ by legendary rock band AC/DC. Other 80s elements are also present in the song as a result of the trio’s personal taste.
“We try to look for different sensations, which we are not used to release, but we still like it a lot. This track is an adaptation for the ear and the heart and this is what we are searching for now. Producing more appropriate songs for this quarantine atmosphere that we are experiencing is something different but challenging”
Audax describing how they produced ‘Holy Sinner’
The sounds that Audax uses is somewhat different to what their fans are accustomed to. They hope that their fans welcome this new direction with open arms. The response so far has been very positive, maybe encouraging the trio to make more songs diverting from their original sound.
