Canadian beat-maker Kaytranada and Aluna of Alunageorge have teamed up for a soulful new single dubbed “The Recipe” out now on Diplo’s Mad Decent label.
The collaboration isn’t so surprising with both artists tipping out plenty of new work over the last 6-12 months with Kay’ dropping “Look Easy” in July and Aluna with “Body Pump” in April.
The new track from the two is actually on Aluna’s debut album ‘Renaissance’, her first as a solo artist since announcing she was going at it alone at the start of 2020. It’s filled with plenty of quirky and groovy cuts with “The Recipe” no different.
On first listen you can feel and hear what each artist brought to the table with K’s slappy drums, Aluna’s powerful vocals and a smouldering rhythm section from featured artist Rema.
