On the heels of his biggest year yet, Barkin is ready to take it to the next level. He is kicking off 2025 with a Tech-House heater ‘Percolator’ featuring UK rapper KXNE. This will mark his debut on Don Diablo’s Label Hexagon.
‘Percolator’ kicks off with KXNE’s vocals taking center stage. What begins as a tension-filled intro quickly sees energy rise into an energetic drop. A rolling bassline greets our ears and moves our feet. The drop evolves with new elements being expertly introduced to “switch” vibes.
KXNE returns for an ethereal bridge that keeps the energy flowing into another groovy drop. More pumped-up synths keep us on our toes for what will come next. At 134 BPM, the record is at the faster end of Tech House.
‘Percolator’ shows off Barkin’s signature producing skills. His new techno-infused sound is bringing in a new wave to house music. Barkin blends genres taking influence from the more bass-dominant side of dance music. This will mark the second track Barkin has worked with KXNE. In 2023, they released a huge Bass House Track ‘Take A Risk’. Barkin had this to say about the track:
