Canadian bass queen Rezz has officially revealed her fifth studio album As The Pendulum Swings, slated for release on September 12 via HypnoVizion. Alongside the announcement, she’s unleashed a thunderous new single, ‘Prophecy‘ hat sets the tone for a darker, more evolved Rezz era.
‘Prophecy’ marks the opening track to the forthcoming album, and it’s a commanding statement piece. Blending cinematic synths, gritty industrial textures, and signature Rezz tension, the song feels like the soundtrack to a dystopian dreamscape.
“‘Prophecy’ is the intro track to my album and best describes the direction that I am going and will continue to go,” Rezz shared. “It pulls from my greatest influences – alongside my own signature sounds – and puts it all into one place.”

A New Chapter in the Rezz Legacy
As The Pendulum Swings continues Rezz’s tradition of crafting immersive, concept-driven projects. It follows 2023’s IT’S NOT A PHASE EP and her 2024 LP CAN YOU SEE ME?, both of which helped define her unique blend of goth aesthetics, heavy bass, and hypnotic visuals.
The new album draws on French electro, dark techno, and deeply cinematic inspirations, suggesting a sharpened maturity and focus in Rezz’s sound. The project already features previous singles ‘Contorted’ and ‘Telepathy’, with more to come over the summer.
