Tiga Enlists Chris Lake for High-Energy 'Silk Scarf' Remix

Fresh off a marathon weekend of DJ sets across Amsterdam Dance Event, Tiga is adding another chapter to his HOTLIFE remix series. The Montreal producer has shared a Chris Lake remix of ‘Silk Scarf’ featuring Fcukers, out today, October 30, via Turbo Recordings x Secret City Records.

‘Silk Scarf’ originally paired Tiga with the NYC band Fcukers, a combination that leaned into shared instincts for party music and genre-agnostic songwriting. Tiga has described the band’s energy as reminiscent of electroclash’s early-2000s heyday. “Their spirit reminds me of the Electroclash Summer of Love (Y2K – present),” he said. “You think we cared about genre boundaries? Think again.“

For this remix, Chris Lake steers the track down a tech house route, pushing Tiga and Shanny’s vocals up front for a version built with festival mainstages and big-room dancefloors in mind. Tiga didn’t hold back his enthusiasm for the pairing. “And who does a party track better than Chris Lake? Literally nobody,” he said.

The HOTLIFE remix project has brought in a wide range of collaborators to rework tracks from the album, including Fcukers, Ben Sterling, DJ Hell, Tensal, The Dare, Budino and Deetron. Several cuts from the record have already gotten dedicated vinyl EP treatments, with ‘Hot Wife,’ ‘Ecstasy Surrounds Me’ and ‘Iamwhatiam’ each receiving standalone releases.

HOTLIFE itself dropped earlier this year as Tiga’s first studio album in over a decade, bringing together Boys Noize, Fcukers, MRD, Maara, Priori and Patrick Holland across 12 tracks. The album followed a string of singles — ‘Silk Scarf,’ ‘Hot Wife’ and ‘Friction’ — that picked up support from Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Crack, CLASH, Pitchfork and others. Across the record and its remix cycle, Tiga’s mix of underground club sensibility and sharp, irreverent songwriting has stayed front and center, and the Chris Lake remix gives the rollout a high-energy send-off.

The timing lines up with a big stretch for Lake, who entered 2026 coming off a GRAMMY nomination for his remix of The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Galvanize,’ plus an official remix of Taylor Swift’s ‘Opalite’ that hit #1 on iTunes. His debut album Chemistry, released independently via his own Black Book Records, landed in the Top 10 globally on Spotify and claimed the #1 Dance Album spot on both Apple Music and Beatport.

‘Silk Scarf (Chris Lake Remix)’ is streaming now, with HOTLIFE LP remix vinyl available for pre-order through Secret City Records.
