Weska Returns to Truesoul with 'Overdrive' / 'No Escape'

Weska is back on Truesoul with a double A-side that brings in three collaborators at once. ‘Overdrive’ / ‘No Escape‘, out now, teams the Canadian producer up with SOLANCE, Sarah De Warren and MORGANJ across two tracks that pull in different directions while both landing on Adam Beyer‘s Truesoul imprint.

Weska has been building steadily over the past few years. He was a regular face on Drumcode thanks to a run of collaborations with Bart Skils, and since shifting focus to Truesoul he’s dropped two EPs in as many years — ‘Mudcat’ in 2024 and ‘Helix’ in 2025. This new release extends that run with a pair of collaborative cuts that show off some range.

‘Overdrive’ opens the release, a link-up with rising producer SOLANCE and vocalist Sarah De Warren. Both SOLANCE and De Warren have history with Beyer’s label group already, having worked together on ‘Inferno’ and ‘Psycho’ alongside KASIA. The track rides on a melodic lead line with elastic synths bouncing back and forth, while De Warren’s vocal sits on top and carries the hook.

Weska explained how the track came together during a tour stop. “I had a session planned with SOLANCE the day before a show in Amsterdam. We were playing each other things we’d been working on — I was showing him an idea I had started with Sarah — and we noticed both our tracks were in the same key. We brought the main ideas together in a few hours, and I ended up testing it at the show the next day. It worked great and we knew we had something sick on our hands.“

‘No Escape’ switches gears entirely, pairing Weska with Italian producer MORGANJ for a track that bounces between electro house, bass, prog and trance influences without settling into just one lane. It’s built around an acid bassline and leans into surprise rather than consistency.

“I’ve been a fan of Morgan’s stuff for a while, so I was excited when he sent over an early draft,” Weska said. “I loved it as soon as I heard the acid bassline, and the rest of the track came together rather quickly. I’m really stoked on how the whole EP came together, and I’m pumped it’s coming out on Truesoul. This EP is a reminder of how music brings people together, no matter where you are in the world.“

MORGANJ shared his own take on the collaboration. “Weska and I have been supporting each other for a long time, always appreciating what we do individually. A few months ago, we decided to make something together without overthinking genres or boundaries. With the vocal saying ‘All pressure, you look around, all pressure,’ we wanted to turn that feeling into something positive: a club track with no rules, no limitations, and no pressure to fit into any particular sound. That’s how ‘No Escape’ was born, a track that represents exactly what we wanted to make, with no compromises.“

Both tracks are out now on Truesoul. Stream ‘Overdrive’ / ‘No Escape’ below.
