The long-awaited return to Vice City includes a venture into the realm of house music after an extended trailer was released. One song in particular, ‘Inner Light’ by Elderbrook and Bob Moses, has reportedly seen an over 1,000% increase in Spotify streams following its featured moment.
Originally released in July 2021, the track emerged in the spotlight through Rockstar Games’ montage of in-game footage. ‘Inner Light’ plays during the closing portion of the trailer, granting the song a particularly cinematic setting. The track was far from the only song to benefit from the exposure, as all 15 songs featured have since been compiled in Spotify playlists where fans can revisit the full soundtrack.
Behind the Track
The renewed attention arrives during a busy year for Elderbrook. He’s already released several new singles throughout 2026, including ‘Falling’ with Shimza, ‘Lost In The Woods’ with Adriatique and, most recently, ‘Is It Over Now?’ amidst a global performance schedule.
Bob Moses has similarly remained quite active with the duo’s latest project BLINK receiving a deluxe edition in July. The expanded release contains 14 tracks and collaborations with CRi and Notre Dame.
GTA VI’s Massive Pre-Launch Momentum
Months before its November 19th release, recent Sensor Tower estimates reveal nearly 4.93M units sold and $482M revenue for the blockbuster game. This includes a dramatically higher proportion of PlayStation orders compared with XBox as the frenzy continues.
Pre-orders officially opened on June 25th with Rockstar offering a $79.99 Standard Edition and a $99.99 Ultimate Edition. Online estimates suggest that around 90% of total pre-orders have gone toward the pricier Ultimate Edition.
The game’s momentum is poised to launch any media associated with its release into the public eye as we all brace for a world where you can no longer say “we got ______ before GTA VI.”
