Tomorrowland and Amazon Music have officially released the latest edition of their acclaimed We Are Tomorrow documentary series, with Ukrainian DJ and producer Miss Monique taking center stage as the featured artist. The film is now available for global audiences to stream via YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, and Amazon Music.
The documentary, which was first announced earlier this month, continues the tradition of pairing a world-class artist’s personal journey with the stories of the ‘People of Tomorrow’—the dedicated fans and creatives whose lives are deeply intertwined with the festival. This latest entry follows a lineage of successful films featuring industry titans such as Topic, Alok, Vintage Culture, and John Summit, with the Alok edition notably securing a Webby Award in 2024.
A Story of Resilience and Rhythm
The narrative surrounding Miss Monique follows her onto the Tomorrowland stage during a period of significant personal and global upheaval. Having built her foundational career in Kyiv, her rise was accelerated by the success of her MiMo Weekly mix series during the pandemic. Even after launching her own label, Siona Records, the onset of war in Ukraine forced her to relocate. Despite these challenges, she has maintained a rigorous touring schedule across Europe and has now graced the Mainstage in Boom for two consecutive years. This past July, she further solidified her presence by debuting her Biorhythm show on the festival’s iconic Freedom Stage.
Diverse Perspectives from the People of Tomorrow
Beyond the spotlight on Miss Monique, the film weaves in three other compelling narratives:
- Olav Stubberud: A Norwegian photographer who toured with Swedish House Mafia, The Chainsmokers, and Martin Garrix, only to rediscover his artistic passion through analog film after the pandemic halted live touring.
- Fahbeer: The visionary behind Bangkok’s Lost in Thaislation, who is set to bring her unique Thai street food-inspired cocktails to Tomorrowland Thailand this December.
- Luca: A Romanian-born resident of Cologne who overcame a childhood spent in orphanages and on the streets to eventually find his way to Tomorrowland through a 2017 radio contest.
