Creamfields Announces Roster Shake-Up: Eric Prydz Steps In for John Summit

Creamfields has officially announced a significant roster adjustment for its upcoming edition. Following the news that John Summit has cancelled his remaining August performances to focus on his highly anticipated North American tour, festival organizers have moved quickly to secure a world-class replacement. Swedish progressive house icon Eric Prydz is set to step into the void, taking over the prestigious Apex stage on Friday, August 28th.

As one of the world’s premier electronic music gatherings, Creamfields continues to draw between 70,000 and 80,000 attendees daily to its iconic Daresbury site in Cheshire, UK. While the absence of John Summit—a dominant force in the global tech-house scene—is undoubtedly a disappointment for his dedicated fanbase, the addition of Eric Prydz promises to deliver a historic festival moment.

The APEX stage, which serves as the festival’s massive indoor main stage superstructure, is the perfect setting for a performance of this caliber. Unveiled for the 2024 edition, the arena boasts a 30,000-person capacity and features state-of-the-art production, including immersive LED screens and high-intensity laser arrays designed for late-night spectacles.

Eric Prydz remains a perennial fan favorite, celebrated for his legendary visual concepts and his signature progressive sound under his Pryda alias. Attendees are advised that set times will be updated via the official Creamfields app. Those holding day tickets should monitor official festival communications for any further updates regarding the schedule.
