Two of the most influential figures in modern electronic music, John Summit and Subtronics, have reunited to deliver a high-octane performance that fans have been clamoring for since their surprise B2B set at EDC Las Vegas 2023. Following their headline appearance at the Experts Only festival, the duo has now officially released the full recording of their set for global audiences to experience.
As John Summit continues to push boundaries with his ongoing CTRL ESCAPE arena tour, this festival collaboration stands as a testament to the genre-blending potential of today’s top-tier producers. The set is now available to watch in full below.
The performance kicks off with a high-energy collaborative ID, setting the tone for an hour-and-a-half journey that seamlessly bridges the gap between house and dubstep. Throughout the set, the artists weave in drum-and-bass elements, ensuring the crowd remains engaged with fresh takes on their respective catalogs. John Summit’s signature house grooves provide a rhythmic foundation, while Subtronics delivers the heavy, wonky bass drops that have made him a staple in the bass music scene.
The chemistry between the two headliners is palpable, creating an infectious energy that resonates throughout the recording. The set also features notable guest appearances, including a standout moment from LEVEL UP and a climactic closing performance alongside GRiZ, cementing this B2B as one of the most memorable musical events of the year.
For those looking to dive deeper into the tracklist or revisit specific highlights, the full set is a masterclass in festival curation. It is a must-listen for fans of both house and bass music alike.
