Culture Shock has officially unveiled his latest single, ‘In The Night’, arriving just in time for the Halloween season. Released on October 29, the track serves as a high-energy drum & bass cut that masterfully reinterprets the iconic 1984 vocal hook from Rockwell’s ‘Somebody’s Watching Me,’ transforming it into a modern club anthem.
The release of ‘In The Night’ follows a period of heavy road-testing. Culture Shock has been integrating the track into his live sets throughout 2026, including notable performances at EDC Las Vegas and during the highly anticipated WORSHIP closing slot on the Sahara stage at Coachella. Most recently, the producer showcased the record during the WORSHIP tour stop at the Brooklyn Storehouse, a landmark event for the genre that features a powerhouse lineup including 1991, Sub Focus, and Dimension.
From a production standpoint, the track highlights the meticulous sound design that has become synonymous with Culture Shock’s discography. The arrangement is rich with atmospheric synth textures and precise engineering, ensuring it stands out in both festival environments and intimate club settings.
With a career spanning nearly two decades, Culture Shock remains a pivotal figure in the drum & bass scene. His catalog, which includes genre-defining records like ‘Bunker’ and the BBC Radio 1-supported ‘Renaissance,’ demonstrates his rare ability to evolve alongside the genre while maintaining his signature aesthetic. This longevity places him in an elite tier of producers who continue to influence the sound of modern electronic music.
The momentum shows no signs of slowing down as the year concludes. In addition to his ongoing North American arena tour, Culture Shock is slated to perform at China’s VAC Festival this November. He is also preparing for his most significant UK headline show to date, with his ‘Transmissions’ event set to take over Outernet Live later this month.
‘In The Night’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
