Few artists make melodic house feel quite as emotional as Massane. Whether you’ve followed his journey through This Never Happened or discovered him through one of Lane 8’s mixtapes, you’ve likely felt the magic that has made him a fan favorite over the years. Now, the French producer makes his Colorize debut with Another Life / Shadows, a two-track release that perfectly bridges the worlds of progressive and melodic house. On ‘Another Life’, Massane reunites with sadHAPPY, continuing a collaboration that already feels right at home alongside some of the most heartfelt records in his catalog. Another Life / Shadows
Across ‘Another Life’ and ‘Shadows,’ Massane reminds listeners why he has become one of the most respected names in melodic house. ‘Another Life’ carries a warmth that feels instantly familiar, blending sadHAPPY’s stunning vocal with uplifting melodies and a groove that pulls you in from the very first note. The track feels hopeful and reflective at the same time, striking that balance between emotion and movement that Massane does so well.
On the other side of the release, ‘Shadows’ dives into darker and more introspective territory. Layer by layer, the track unfolds into a cinematic journey filled with tension, atmosphere, and emotion. Rather than relying on a massive drop, Massane lets the mood tell the story, creating a record that lingers with you long after it ends. Together, the two tracks highlight both sides of Massane’s artistry, bringing warmth, depth, and emotion to a Colorize debut that feels right at home on the label.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the tracks, Massane shared:
‘Another Life’: Sadhappy and I were exchanging ideas, and I immediately connected with an early version of Another Life. What he was doing on the chorus grabbed me right away. It was really easy to build around it, and the track kind of found its way on its own.
‘Shadows’: I’ve been getting asked about this one a lot since I started playing it. Shadows is one of those tunes I had sitting on my computer for a while. I wrote it in a burst of inspiration and when I was browsing through my projects, it was pretty obvious I had something special. I kept the broken, raw vibe of the original, and it became one of my favorite tunes. I’m so happy it’s finally coming out.
As exciting as Another Life / Shadows is, I can’t help but wonder what’s still waiting on Massane’s hard drive. Over the past year, he’s filled his sets with IDs that fans have been chasing ever since. Every time a tracklist drops, the comments quickly turn into requests for unreleased music. While we’ll have to wait and see what the rest of 2026 brings, one thing feels certain: Massane isn’t slowing down. And if some of those long-awaited IDs finally make their way into official releases, fans are in for a treat.
