HUGEL and Quavo Team Up for New Single 'Where She Come From'

HUGEL continues to push the boundaries of house music by collaborating with Quavo on his new single ‘Where She Come From’, out now on Make The Girls Dance Records.

‘Where She Come From’ opens with Quavo’s hypnotic flow and ad-libs over a percussive groove that pulls on the tech house and Afro house end of HUGEL’s range rather than the Latin house he’s known for. Quavo saves his verse for the second half, with the second drop hitting harder, carried by a low rolling bassline. The production leans into an American sound, with Murda Beatz featured on the production credits.

The track is the second single for Twenty One Part 2, the next installment of HUGEL’s debut album released in June. After dropping ‘Temptation’ with Bryson Tiller on July 10, this marks the second major rapper HUGEL has collaborated with this month.

Twenty One arrived on June 26, featuring a massive 21-track lineup including Snoop Dogg, Big Sean, French Montana, NBA YoungBoy, and Ty Dolla $ign. HUGEL celebrated the album with a listening party at Wynn Las Vegas on June 20, noting that the city has become a second home and that his ‘Make The Girls Dance’ concept was built there. He currently holds a Wynn Nightlife residency split between XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club, while his ‘Make The Girls Dance’ residency continues every Thursday at Hï Ibiza.

Prior to the album release, HUGEL performed at the Stade de France, opening for David Guetta on June 12 alongside FISHER. His label has been equally active, hosting events at the Club Space terrace during Miami Music Week and organizing ‘Make The Girls Dance’ showcases in New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles. He is currently scheduled to perform at Tomorrowland this weekend.
