Armin van Buuren Announces ASOT Festival Coming to LA in 2027

Trance fans in Los Angeles have plenty to look forward to, as Armin van Buuren has announced a two-day A State of Trance festival coming to the city in 2027. He revealed the news in style during a surprise pop-up event in Downtown LA. Taking place on June 11th and 12th, the Los Angeles weekender marks a big milestone as the brand’s first full-scale, multi-stage, multi-day standalone festival in the U.S., complete with the immersive ASOT Hotel experience.

Events like these are rare, and the expansion to the USA marks a huge milestone for trance fans. This isn’t ASOT’s first appearance in America—it has held major one-night shows at venues like Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles (2022), Madison Square Garden in New York (2013), and Oakland (2019). It’s also had multi-year runs with dedicated ASOT stages at big festivals like Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

In Europe, A State of Trance (ASOT) is more than just a brand—it’s a cultural and almost religious institution for electronic dance music. The Netherlands and Central/Eastern Europe have cultivated a massive, loyal, and rapidly growing fan base. The annual flagship European ASOT festivals, traditionally in Utrecht (Jaarbeurs) and more recently Rotterdam (Ahoy), consistently attract 35,000 to 40,000 fans from nearly 100 countries.

Though the exact location hasn’t been announced, fans can look forward to an electrifying weekend with a variety of genre-spanning sets.
