Marco Weber has officially unveiled his latest project, a compelling four-track EP titled You Got Me Trippin’, released through 4 Quarters Music. This collection marks a significant collaboration with Italian-based producer and DJ Valentino Guerriero, resulting in a project that masterfully blends diverse sonic identities within the House genre.
The EP offers a sophisticated journey through shuffling rhythms, rolling basslines, and driving synth work. By combining Marco Weber’s signature groove-oriented production with the rhythm-focused approach of his collaborator, the duo has crafted a release that feels both cohesive and tailor-made for dynamic club environments. The project also features notable contributions from remixers Enzo Sorrentino and 4QM, adding further depth to the release.
A Deep Dive into the Soundscape
The title track, “You Got Me Trippin’,” serves as the anchor for the EP. It features a sultry female vocal line layered over a low-end framework that maintains constant momentum. The track is defined by its bouncy groove, sustained pads that build atmospheric tension, and intricate syncopated chord progressions. Following this, “Mesmerising” pushes the energy further with punchy kicks and gritty basslines, juxtaposing harder-edged synth textures against moments of melodic warmth.
The remix offerings provide a fresh perspective on these original compositions. Enzo Sorrentino’s take on the title track leans into a cinematic, hypnotic atmosphere, utilizing evolving textures to create a deep, immersive experience. Meanwhile, the 4QM rework of “Mesmerising” introduces a heavier, grit-laced low end balanced by bright piano motifs, showcasing the versatility of the original production.
